It's time for me to contribute again


If you don't know what SearchUI is, it's a feature inside the Auctioneer

k, first how to open:



That will bring up a window.

2nd, click on the left side; Searchers
This will expand and give a bigger list:



The actual guide

Arbitrage



This is used to cross-faction trading mainly.
What this mean is;
If you got a Horde toon and an Alliance toon on the same server, it will tell you what to buy and cross-faction sell to earn profit. But this is rarely used (by me :P)


Converter



This is for converting, let's say Eternal --> Crystallized
It will calculate that if you convert 1 Eternal Shadow (16g) into 10 Crystallized Shadow (20g Total) the profit would be 4g

Disenchant



This is mainly used for ppl that can get a disenchanter. If you click Search, it will give you a list what to buy, DE and make profit.


Enchant Mats



This will search for Enchanting Mats and see if it will give any profit to buy it and re-sell it

General



Here, just type in what you want to search for, Borean Leahter, Abyss Crystal, Lollipop, anything

What the good thing about this is that you can search for iLvl

Milling



This will scan the herbs and calculate how much profit apx. you will make for milling the flower, pretty powerful

Prospect



Same as above, just prospecting, will calculate and see if it can give any profits, also powerful

Resale



Ok, this should be the real money maker!
This scans the entire AH for things that can be reselled! Remember not to buy anything, some is not even near the amount it says, but for some other stuff, pretty accurate

Snatch



My fav as a JC / DE combo toon
You put the item you want in the box, type the amount you want to pay each, then it search the AH and find the thing you want!

As JC, I could snatch for:

Eternal Earth
Bloodstone
Huge Citrine
Chalcedony
Sun Crystal
Crystallized Earth

Then it will bring an overview of all the items I searched for within the price I entered. REALLY usefull!

Vendor



Last one, vendor.
This will search the AH (ofc) for stuff that you can buy, vendor it and then earn profit.

That's right! People sell stuff at AH cheaper than the vendor price...


Last word

This was a short overview of the SearchUI feature in Auctioneer.

For me, i think the greatest profit to be made is in resale (duh) but rescently Ive been making quite a bit of dough in converter... We'l just have to see hehe

Err, its not cross-faction price. Auctioneer only keeps scan data for one faction, you can't scan the other faction unless you have characters there. Then there's the fact that on PVP servers you can't make both factions, and it'd be completely useless.

First you say it's not used for cross-faction trading.

After you say that this can be done, you just need a character of the other faction?

So, imo, it is used for cross-faction trading Why should they use hours on something useless? :S
