AFK WITHOUT a bot.

I've been standing here at the mailbox for... 20+ minutes, haven't touched the WoW window and i haven't gone AFK yet.


How to:

Goto a mailbox, right-click it.
Goto the Send tab
go afk, let the curser (that white flashing light) keep blinking.


Uses: Going to play Wii/Xbox/PS1(2)[3]/ make lunch etc.

If you are like me and get caught up in being bored so you AFK to play xbox but dont want to miss anything on WoW, IE Whispers, drama in Gchat or any other channels you may have.

When you say you don't go afk do you mean the afk tag coming up or auto logged out of the game afk? Because I'm sitting at a mailbox on the send mail tab and my afk tag just came up.

weird.. it worked on the mailbox in Grom'gol and the one in Org :-/


maybe more testing will be needed...

Just tried it in dalaran and I went afk for ~45 minutes. Came back to the character screen =\ I'm following what you're doing, maybe it just doesn't work in dalaran.

num lock won't work. If there's no other action, you go afk after a while.

You could go to perma-evading mob, start auto attack. You will get afk flag but you won't camp out because you're in battle. Doesn't work on dummies.

How about lock in combat with a rat or other creature? I like the idea as I'm always missing whispers etc. I'm going to try this tonight and some of the other suggestions and find out if anything works.
