[Quick Guide] How to start off making money in the auction house.

Before I start off: This is not a guide to buy an item and sell for higher profit! We all know this!

Now. You are going to need an add-on called Auctioneer. This can be downloaded from this website: Auctioneer - Addons - Curse

I am going to assume you know how to install an add-on.
After you have installed it, log into your WoW account, and go to the nearest Auction House. Begin to scan the Auction House:







After a while. Your scan will finish up. Go to the Search button in Auctioneer, and press the button Searchers> vendor.

You will now see a window where you can change the settings to what you want. But I suggest these settings:





Once you are done. press the '' - '' button as shown on this picture. And scan the Auction house once more.




Once you are done. Bid on all the items! You can sell them to a vendor once you win the bid. Because people rarely bid on green items. And people are stupid enough to post them as bid lower than the vendor price. So you will make alot of gold! Let's say you use 2000 gold to buy items. And you bid 2g on each. And sell for 3g, that's 1000 gold just from there. And most of the time, items will resell for 4-5g profit! Talk about easy money!

Remembers me of the time when netherweave cloth was sold really cheap...
Buy, make bandages while afk, sell, profit.
However frostweave bandages sell the same price than the cloth, so it's kinda pointless now, just buy the cloth 2g50s a stack... Haaa why the hell did blizz fix that?

this won't work in most cases. Many ppl are BIDING or BUYING green items for DE and stuff. On my server in 100's

Is this a guide on buying stuff from the AH then selling to a vendor for higher profit? I don't even know what this guide is about TBH. But I well assume it's about what I said, I have to say it's stupid. . . I would rather go out and farm the stuff to sell to a vendor. If your making profit off doing this, it won't make you money unless your doing it with a bot or something like that.

Ok, so you bid on 50 things which can make you a 50s profit when you resell.. but wait, there are also other people bidding on these things to resell so then you only get 30 things at the end of a bid (which can last 24 hours) so in lets say 3 hours you get 3 things that well sell for 1g50s (50s profit like I said).. thats one very easy 1.5g but ..

Lets say you would rather farm eternal fires.. you kill 20, in about 10 miniutes. THATS A AUTOMATIC 3 GOLD from the greys, and about 20g from a eternal fire..

I don't know anyone that could even make money by using this method, buying stuff and selling it higher may take longer but well get you more profit. And like the above posts said, buying stuff then turning it into something else well also make you more profit.


I don't mean to flame, it is probably the most well layed out guide I have seen this week.. The pictures are amazing, and really helpfull. +rep for the well written guide, MMowned needsm ore people like you that make guides like this.
