[Gold Guide] Farming Wool, Mageweave, Netherweave, and Runecloth

[B]The price in cloth is really increasing because no body lands a foot in azeroth, I have been farming cloth my self and have to say.. I'm amazed how easy it is and decided to share with you guys.

    Normal Mobs for Gold

    Wool Cloth

The spot I have been farming is:
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMCTSHzblbc]YouTube - World of Warcraft Wool Cloth Farming Wetlands[/ame]
(I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THIS VIDEO)

the spawn rates are really fast, I have gotten HUGE ammounts of wool here, this is how I farmed for my epic mount at level 60 (while ago), and can confirm this spot is the best.. In addition to the all the woolcloth I also got a blue item here.. It sold for 65g in AH, also I got many greens which sold for 2g each..

    64,62, wetlands.

    Mageweave

On my server mageweave goes up and down, but when it goes up I make sure to go SW of Camp Mojache in ferlas to farm these Woodpaw Gnolls. They have a high drop rate chance of mageweave cloth..

The only thing with this spot is you might run into someone questing, what I do is just invite them into my group and help them out.. Not worth fighting over mobs IMO.

    Runecloth

The way I farmed most of my runecloth is in fellwood, there are these mobs that give reputation towards Timbermaw hold.. Certain 'deadwood' mobs well drop runecloth.. The ones that drop runecloth are located here:

You get reputation, and runecloth.. can't lose! JUST MAKE SURE YOU DON'T FARM THE LOWER LEVEL ONES, those drop mageweave..

    Netherweave

On my server I have seen nether weave REALLY go up in price lately.. So I started farming, and found that Boulderfist warriors in nagrand where the best.. The two caves I have farmed where here:

In addition to farming cloth here, I also got reputation with the Mag'har (revered now).. So it's great if you want a talbuk

    Farming Instances for Gold

Farming instances is also a good way to farm gold if your a high enough level, and on the side you can run guild mates / friends through instances..

Here is a quick list I made up to farm cloth:

    Wool and Linen- Dead Mines
Deadmines is probably the best way to farm both Linen and Wool cloth.. Wailing caverns doesn't have as much humanoids as deadmines, and RFC and Stockades are to small to farm to get linen cloth (you can only do it 5 times before you can keep reseting

Silk and Wool - SM Cath / armory
SM is known for cloth drops, but doesn't provide enough mageweave to farm it.. Only farm if you need silk.

    Mageweave - ZF
ZF is a good place to farm mageweave (best that I know), but to farm here you need to be above level 60 to farm it effectively.

    Runecloth - Stratholme
Stratholme is full of humanoids which = runecloth, I usually get 4 runecloth every 2 kills. Also, I would strongly suggest selling runs through this instance, people well pay 75g per run because 50-58 is (to many) the hardest levels.

Netherweave and Runecloth - Ramparts or Blood Furnace
Ramparts and blood furnace are mainly made of hummanoids so its good to farm, I have sold runs through this instance for 100g per run.. Per run takes a good 25 miniutes for ramps, and 30-45 miniutes for blood furnace. I am a mage and solo both just fine with my CD's so don't be scared to try and solo this.

Thx Stans dad for giving me the idea of adding instances.

I know I well get flamed, I'm not expecting any great responses I just thought I would share my farming spots with you guys.. And if you don't want money, it's great to turn cloth into your major cities for reputation.

Good spots yes, but what I found very easy (if you have a higher level). Run instances, you can pull the whole instance and loot them =) Very easy and quick too =)

    Linen & Wool = Deadmines
Wool & Silk = Scarlet Monastery

so on and so fourth. =)

Nice post though, and since you are contributing +Rep x2

Depends on how much cloth is selling, at one time, wool was selling for 22 gold a stack, and I made a TON of gold of this.. You well get 10-20 stacks per hour, and if you sell 20g a stack that is 200-400g a hour. Not bad when you are farming reputation on the side.. Not to mention all the blue drops (you well get 1 blue every 1 hour - 2 hours), and i have gotten 'Hurricane' when farming too which sold for 200g.

It really depends, but just cloth well make you 200-600g depending on your server.

Yes, but it depends on how much is in the auction, if there is only one page of cloth, you can manipulate the price.. For instance, one time there was 1 page of wool cloth going for 10g, and i hosted my wool for 26g, and then 2 days later my auctions sold, and the price rose to 20g.

For wool cloth, go to that instance in stormwind.
I wanted to do that for my archievment. but i saw that they dropped insane wool cloth.
So i did that run 4 more times and had 10 stacks or so.
1 run cost 10 minutes or less of my time.

No, not if you want to farm some reputation while farming cloth, or raise your reputation with major citys, or if your a lower level and need some gold.
