@rljohn nice site for Shadow priests, if i had found it earlier my life would have been really easy. Unfortunelly i learned the game from playing it not from guides in foruns.

This guide has a lot of misinformation, in a few weeks time crit will be rather important for spriests, same goes for hit. not to mention that there is no mention of haste here -_-

Who said Crit is not important to Spriests ? I would never stand not seing my MB + SWD combo Crit on raids and on pvp , its just SEXEH man.

I just tryed to log on WoW yesterday and i did notice a Patch of 1.11Gb ... witch means this guide will become pretty useless sooner them i expected... i Will add the Haste Topic i found on Shadowpriests.com and quote fadelol about rotation ( if you dont mind ). I dont know about the gear section... probally when LK comes out, greenies from northrend will be owning t4/t5 so... i will let the guide as it is with the above changes. Will try to write about the LK after i learn something and share with you guys =].

yea... true... well i don't know if shadow priests will be worth playing in wotlk... i'm actually thinking to reroll paladin... cause the retribution spec got same raid mana regeneration as the vampiric touch from shadow priest... and as far as i can see, we will find shadow priests in the same positions on dps meter, like in TBC...

Yes, Shadow should do the same dps as other specs and classes, provided you have similar gear and skill. Replenishment is considered a buff just like all the other buffs. Its one exception is that having more than one in the raid can stack to some extent.

WotLK Beta (US-English) Forums -> Ok GC, I will make it simple.

I'm not too worried, besides except for the hit you need for shadow you can get pretty much the same gear for all speccs so even if shadow turns out gimp you wont have to gather a whole new set of gear. Guilds raiding sunwell should have gotten used to people playing a class rather than a specc, I think the same will apply for all multi role casters in WoTLK. Anyways, the major issue atm is how replenishment works due to the fact that it doesn't really scale that well with gear. Anyone can get a huge manapool and thus maximize profit from replenishment as it is now. Instead I think it should be changed to increase your mana regen while not casting by x% or something similar making spirit the usefull stat blizzard wants it to be.
