Lately there have been many guides and links on how to include symbols in your character's name (ie. Deàth). Here's a quick link to all the combos : http://www.frontpagewizard.com/use_alt_keys.asp for all the straglers (I'm not here to teach you how to do it if you can't figure it out... theres too many threads allready). Anyways I noticed on all the threads that theres people posting saying silly things like:

If you do this your character will have a hard time getting into guilds and getting party invites because not everyone knows how to use Alt-Symbols

Now heres my Ultra compact guide on what should be common sense and how to get around that
1. Open up friends list\guild list\or write "/invite"
2. Have the person whisper you (if there close by for party just right click and select "invite"... Duh.)
3. Open up add friend\ add member
4. Shift click players name from chat box
5. Click add
Voila~!

Note: This cannot be done to report someone, it will not paste name into ticket window.
Note2: I wrote this up because I was genuinely surprised at how many people did not know you could do this.

Or just /who the beginning of their name, and look at the who list...


Much easier for most of the names...

Argg...lol. Read the bottom of the guide. If you want to add them to your friends list, add them to guild, or invite them from inside a BG you...
Have them whsiper you or talk, shift-click the name before his/her sentance (ie. "From [Deàth]: Add me", shift click the section I have highlighted in your wow and it will paste that name into your invite window) The only window I found that you couldn't "Shift-Paste" into was the GM Report window making it all the harder for someone to report you =D

there is a much easier way :/ just hit enter, type /invite {space} then shift click the name, hit enter. Alternativly you can kick everyone in the group and go on some alt and play on that instead.

Whenever I try to do this it says something along the lines of "You can only use letters in your name." So..... yeah...

Or... go to Start, All programs, Accessories, System tools, and then Character map.. and there you go... all the symbols possible.

This is how you report someone:

Open the chat window in WoW

Shift + Click their name into the Chat Window

Highlight the name

Press Ctrl + C

Open the report window

Press Ctrl + V

Omygee....... Did I not type this up clear enough? I want an honest opinion here becuase ive said this twice now, first time actually in the guide. The parts about putting it in the add window are for friends list or guild invite. Alternatively you could also /ginvite (shift click name). But I really want an honest opinion... Am I seeing something other then everyone else when I read my post?????
