I. Introduction

First of all, let me explain that this guide is just giving you suggestions and helpful tips to making a good guild name, remember the best guild name the one that is original, represents your guild correspondingly and most importantly, one that you like yourself.

Guildnames are something that will stick with your guild, its members, and you, so at least make a somewhat dignified guild name unlike some guilds where the name is all caps, makes almost no sense, and contains spelling errors such as "I LIEK KITTAIZ", but nevertheless let's move on to what you want your guild to be like.


II. Choosing your type of guild

Decide what you want your guild to be like, do you want it to be a laid back, funny guild? a serious, hardcore, raiding guild? a nice, helpful, leveling guild? or maybe a mix of those types, either way decide now and base your guild name on that, since once you have a guild name there's no going back.

An example of a funny guild would probably be one like "Your Mom's a Horde" (probably not a good idea to use this since it's massively overused).

III. Simple Guidelines

These are just simple things you want to check before making your guild.

• Are there any spelling errors?
• Does it make sense?
• If your trying to make a funny guild, have you asked someone else and checked if it was actually funny, or just corny.
• Have you checked the armory to see if it's overused?
• Does it contain obscene language?
• Does it use any overused memes just as "over 9000"?

If not, then your good to go!

IV. Keywords

It's good to have very descriptive and strong words, or how some people call them, "power words", in your guild name. Here I'm going to provide a small list of "power words" obviously I cannot list all of them, but I'm going to list all the ones out of my head, if you want me to add a word you think is a "power word" just tell me in the comments.

The guide was nicely written and presented etc. etc.
But I myself prefer guild names like "Vindicatum" or "Mutiny", "Incendium". You know, random cool sounding words. Unlike "Blood Pact" or "Power Warriors"

One word guilds are always more memorable to me.

Still, I guess it would help people who call their guilds "aliance saviors"
