This is more for level 70's as you need to get past the gate into shadow labs. Of course you can stand there and wait for someone to open it or have someone open it for you. Inside there are mobs coming out of the instance portal and fighting guards. If you attack them they will rarely aggro you, if ever.

True , but this is better then just grinding normal mobs

Or u can go to this elite outside of dark portal leading to outlands theres a elite and he doesnt die, he only reaches 1 health and just stops, i use that usually coz i aint 70 yet

What about the infernals outside of Shadowmoon Village in Shadowmoon Valley? (Not sure of the name of the Alliance town, sorry.)
Most of the time you can keep threat low and leave them to attack the guards whilst you swing away.
(Never rewards XP though, except if you do the quest intitled "Besieged!" but the XP here is from completing the quest, not killing.)
