Note: You still need to be able to play the protected file, before you can remove DRM.
This is usefull if you buy music online, crack sites and download DRM protected movies etc.
Once your license runs out - youre ****ed.. unless you remove the protection.
What you need:
Download FairUse4WM here: RapidShare Webhosting + Webspace
Virus scan pic: http://img382.imageshack.us/img382/6186/checkpg7.jpg
You will also need Windows Media Player installed - standard in all windows versions.
Easiest to get working is version 9 - other versions should work too.
This is how youre gonna do it:
1) Make sure Windows Media Player is not running.
2) Extract the folder named "Program Files" into your Program Files directory (C:/Program Files/), overwrite existing files.
3) Show hidden files (if you already have this enabled, skip to step 4). Open "My Computer" -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Show hidden files and folders.
4) Go to this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM\
Delete everything within that folder.
5) Visit this adress, and press "Upgrade" : http://services.wmdrm.windowsmedia.com/indivSite
6) Open up "My Documents" and delete "blackbox-keys.txt (or make a backup if you like). This is to clear out old DRM protection keys.
6) Thats it. Download a protected file, play it, open fu4wm13fix.exe, drag the file into it and press Next.
If anyone got questions or problems, feel free to ask. Ive been using this method for quite some time - it have never failed.
Clearing a file for DRM takes only a few seconds.
