What is Ventrilo ?

Ventrilo is a voice communication tool for real time voice chat over the internet, it is more or less for voice chat what mIRC is for text chat.

It is designed for gamers to be able to chat with each other while playing games. That makes it a very efficient tool to coordinate raids & hard quests, allowing you to call targets fast and to ask for a heal while still focusing on the game instead of having to type long sentences...


Where can I download the software?

The latest free versions of ventrilo (2.2+) have a max client level set too low for a large monarchy. For this reason we chose to keep our server under version 2.14 which requires a client of the same generation which you can dowload here: Ventrilo 2.14 Client.




How do I setup the client?

Thats the first thing to remember, always answer this question with No, since upgrading to a higher version of the client will prevent you from logging on Free Ventrilo Servers which are stuck with version 2.1.4 if they want unlimited users.

This is the main Ventrilo window which appears at launching.
For now it is completely blank. No users or servers have been set up.

Next to the top 3 drop down boxes, you will notice an arrow button (->). Click on the one next to User Name.


This window will appear:

In this window we can set up multiple users. Right now however, we are only interested in setting up one user. As there are no users yet, click on the New button.

This small popup window appears.

Just type in your nickname as you want it to appear in Ventrilo and click OK.

Click OK again. It will bring you back to the main page, with a User Name selected.

Its time to configure the server.
Click on the arrow button (->) next to the Server drop down list.

A window called Connection Editor should appear :

Click on New.

Type in a name to describe the server (ie: Blood Ventrilo).

Put the IP number in Hostname or IP (koclive.com), and the port number in Port number (3784).

Click on OK.

If you followed all the instructions, you should be ready to use the software.
Simply click the Connect button.

Thats it. Double click on the channel you want to join.

"Blood" for public chat & idling.

"Blood Raids" only for people currently engaged in group raids.
"Blood Quests" only for people currently involved in group quests.

People talking in "Blood Raids" and "Blood Quests" while not engaged in such activities will be kicked out of those channels and eventually banned from them if they keep causing problems. This is the only way those two chats will be effective in game, else the spam made by idlers will disorganize the raiders & questers

every person can join server but can he set setup?so if he speaks he wont kill other ppl will loud and crap sounds...

Hi iv been using Ventrillo for a long time, but now when i reinstalled it, i cannot get the push to talk to work, could someone please run a guide on that?
