Shadowmoon Valley Warlocks - 250+g per hour!

Just wanted to share a few observations about the SMV Warlocks, located at Legion Hold -

They are a great resource for Marks of Sargeras and Fel Armaments. A Kara geared Rogue/Enhancement Shaman should have no problem killing these guys in mere seconds, and able to farm them fairly consistently.

An Enhancement Shaman is one of the best classes to use to farm these, since you have 1 interrupt and a totem to eat any stray casts that get through. Not only that, but skillfully using heals and Shamanistic Rage will allow you to farm constantly for hours with no stopping for mana/drinking.

These guys APPEAR to respawn based on how fast they are killed. I've noticed that if there are two or more people up there (or 1 person who is killing very fast) you will never see any less than 4 warlock at any given time, and as soon as the number drop belows 4, there is almost always a complete respawn at a tower (another set of 4). This indicated that there is almost no limit to the amount of people who can farm up there, I've seen as many as 5 up there with no fight over respawns.

Their drops are grays, LOTS of netherweave cloth, some greens and an occasional blue/pattern. My record for money made is 800g in two and a half hours.

Edits: The Elite Morgoronn (I think this one is the one that is up there) is soloable by some characters, namely feral druids and hunters, but really, he won't aggro you if you stay on the back side of the towers and just stay on the opposite side of him.
Also it starts out slowly, the respawns won't be as fast when you first land, but the faster you kill, the faster they respawn, so keep at it, and if you have a decent dps, you will see respawns out the wazoo!

Up at Legion Hold, I probably should have put that in my original post, my apologies. Fly/ride up to legion hold, at the spot where the 3 towers and the ass load of infernals sit, and the Shadowmoon Valley Warlocks are there, ripe for the pickings and ready to be farmed

No class, even with kara gear, should spend more than a few secs killing one of these.

You're right, but enhancement shamans are very good at killing this, with windfury and stormstrike, its amazingly fast. I know I can outkill any other class except MAYBE a BM hunter, and I can keep up with killing as fast as 2 characters many times.
You'll draw your own conclusions, but I'm just imparting my knowledge from farming thousands of gold up there.

Yea I see that, I had searched for shadowmoon valley warlocks, didn't find much. Besides, none of them talk about the reason WHY its a good spot, so thats why I wanted to post.
But w/e, Take it for what you will, it still stands as probably the #1 spot for farming in the game currently.

as a feral druid with "meh" gear (2700ap and 33% crit) they last the time of a stun (4secs) if you get lucky on crits and omen of clarity, and in the time of stealth cd if you don't get crits

what is amazing is that you don't really need to care about interrupts or stuff like that, leader of the pack will provide enough healing (I have 2/2 nurturing instincts)

easy 250-300 gold/hour on my server without accounting the occasional rare drop


PS this is a repost and an old as hell one, every gold guide i've read is talking about it

entering " Shadow Council Warlock" into the search box results in what must be an mmowned record for most positive hits for this exact same post, going back years.

these guys DO respawn faster than you can kill them, but the amount of money you make depends completely on how well Aldor stuff sells on your server.

Good job on the tip, i myself have always farmed there haha but thanks for sharing with everyone else it is good money, fel armaments go for almost 50g now on my server!
