    Holy Paladins For Dummies v2!

Hello everybody, I'm back again with a whole new guide for Holy Paladins!
In my last post, I got a lot of feedback saying some stuff, that now I realize is true
and I am going to put it into my guide.
    * = New for v2!
    ___________________________________________________________________

If you are new to 70 on a paladin, you will be forced to pick a raid spec, unless your a PvPer, either Tank or Heals. Today I'm going to talk about heals.
    ________________________________________________________________
    Professions:

Alchemy - This is a beauty to have in raids, you can supply elixers, if your low on mana you'll never run out of potions, and the best part, Alchemy Stone.
Since SSO has came out, a new line of Alchemists Stones have came out, Melee, Caster, Tanking, Healing. The mats are unbearable for these.
    1x Alchemists Stone
    2x Nether Vortex's (30 badges, or about 600g)
    6x Primal Life

Enchanting - This is a very big pain to level, but once your at 375 you'll thank yourself you will get tips for clicking 3 things. But the main reason we will have it is for +healing ring enchant which you can only do to yourself. Also you wont be going "/2 LF Chanter to do x! PST"
    ________________________________________________________________
Okay now that we have to professions covered we will go on to basic raiding
    add ons you'll need.
(Having trouble finding them? download WoWmatrix a program where you pick and choose addons - fast and easily. Find this at World of Warcraft AddOns & Mods :: WoW 2.4 Latest Downloads!

Healbot - An addon where it lists your group/raid in a box (which you can move and customize) All you do is set the spells to Left Click, middle click, and right click.

Omen - A basic raiding threat meter

Group Calendar - This isn't really for paladins specifically but it will help you get into guild raids / heroics.

Decursive - A compact group of boxes you click on to get rid of pesky little Debuffs.

Deadly Boss Mods (DBM) - Another one non-paladin specific but it will help you lead/pay attention to raid bosses
    _________________________________________________________________
Gear Enchants*-Your Bonus heals will blast up with these.

Weapon - Enchant Weapon - Major Healing - Spell - World of Warcraft
Gloves - Enchant Gloves - Major Healing - Spell - World of Warcraft
Bracers - Enchant Bracer - Superior Healing - Spell - World of Warcraft
Cloak - Enchant Cloak - Subtlety - Spell - World of Warcraft
Chest - Enchant Chest - Exceptional Mana - Spell - World of Warcraft
Boots - Enchant Boots - Vitality - Spell - World of Warcraft
Head - Glyph of Renewal - Item - World of Warcraft
    Shoulder -
Greater Inscription of Faith - Item - World of Warcraft (aldor)
Greater Inscription of the Oracle - Item - World of Warcraft (scryer)
Rings - Enchant Ring - Healing Power - Spell - World of Warcraft
Shield - Enchant Shield - Intellect - Spell - World of Warcraft
    ________________________________________________________________
*Raid Goodies - Always stock up on these before those big raids!
    Elixir of Draenic Wisdom
    Elixir of Healing Power
    Golden Fish Sticks
    Mana Potions
    Symbol of Kings ;P
    ________________________________________________________________
    Talent Tree*
    41/20/0
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
    ________________________________________________________________

Okay all that are new to 70, heres just a little tip to you
    1. Join a good guild that is right for you
    2. Sign up for simple raids/heroics in group calendar
    3. Non-Plate gear isn't always so bad for healers, as long as a mojority of your gear is plate.
    ________________________________________________________________
Check out this website, it is GREAT to see how you are doing, raid wise.
I will tell you how you could improve, and where you are fit for raiding.

Hope you learned something useful in this guide!

The spec you linked is terrible. The standard is Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

You don't need Purifying Power because you won't have to cleanse on every fight which is a waste of 2 points. You don't need improved lay on hands because the cool down is so long that you can't use it more than 3 or 4 times in an average raid, plus it makes you lose all your mana if you aren't already out. Sanctified light is an important talent because of how much paladins rely on spell crit chance for mana regen and every little bit counts. 2 points in unyielding faith is optional in exchange for a point in stoicism its up to you. You don't need any points in anticipation at all due to the fact that if you get hit in a raid, you will most likely die from it. Guardian's favor is nice so that you can help your AoE stay alive with BoP more often and it lengthens BoF which is nice for fights like Vashj so your tank can get around easier. Improved concentration aura is also nice for silences on things like Nalorakk's bear form, Shade of Aran's counterspell and the like. Redoubt is also fun for soloing (these points can be moved to toughness instead for the purposes of soloing but will likely be not very helpful in raids).
