Gold Farming (Mote of Fire farming at Blade's Edge Mountain)

Primal Fire farming at Blade's Edge Mountain

Everyone says "quick gold farm", "easy money" and "500g hour" but,
nothing of this is true at all. (maybe if you are lucky)

So let's get to the gold farm tip by me. I personally did it, hunter level 70
with tier2/3 gear. Survival spec was nice, but BM is nicer cause you regen
health after time, and it helps if you want a quick farm, at least for me it
    would have helped.

    1) Blade's Edge Mountain, sub-zone: "Skald" at 72,23

1a) "Searing Elemental" => Primary farm subject in this guide.
    Level: 67-68
    Status: Hostile
    Health: 6300-6600
    > [Mote of Fire] (1-2)

1b) "Scorch Imp" => As a side farm if you need runecloth for bandages, etc.
    Level: 67-68
    Status: Hostile
    Health: 5000-5100
    Mana: 2933-2991
    Worth: ~11s 99c
    > [Netherweave Cloth] (1-3)
    > [Mote of Shadow] (1-2)

So anyway, WHAT does this place so special? For me it was the [Primal Fire]

    x10 = x1 (~25g)

For my realm, I sold each Primal Fire for around 20-30 gold. Some days
it was worth 30 gold (and over), and other days it sunk down to 20 gold.
Average was 25 gold per Primal Fire. In 1 hour, I gathered 5x Primal Fire
(more or less) and that is equaled to minimum 120g if the price on your
    realm is right.

Sell the Primal Fire for minimum 20 gold and you will make around 100 gold
hourly if you gather 5 primals in 1 hour ofcourse. Farming is not easy,
it needs time, and it needs buyers. - On the side to the Primals you get
a lot of gray and some green stuff to vendor for extra cash, so have fun
    farming!

[Primal Fire]x10 = 250g (25g per primal) If you get 10 primal fire each day,
you will end up with 5000 gold in around 20 days. It's not bad at all, if you
don't got any more quests left to do for gold. But when you are at the
stage when you don't got quests left, you usualy have around 3000 gold,
so you won't use 20 days, maybe a week if you farm efficiently and each
    day.

Have Fun! and hope you are statisfied with my first guide.

That's quite a hefty sum of gold right there, im only a lvl 60 rogue right now and i think melee classes will have a harder time because they will have a fire shield or something right? So everytime you hit you get hurt?

    Snitch: Ty

Rekro: Yes, it is. But farm on the night times, 00:00-05:00 is usually totaly empty.

Apocalypse: Yes that is true. They do ~100 fire damage in melee, like an aura.
Keeping distance is the best, if you are a melee class maybe bringing 100 food
from a mage might help some great deal.

I told you guys that farming is never easy, there is no easy gold.
Only gold you work hard for to get.

Yes, they do have some kind of Fire Shield. But that one happens around once per fight and does ~120 damage each second for a lil' while. Otherwise they don't hit for that much so they're quite easy to grind. However, the mobs nearby are more of an annoyance because the Elementals are often packed together with an Imp and a Basilisk. Sure, might not be hard for the good-geared 70 but they're still something.

And to the OP: Well written guide. You might notice your reputation has become higher as well.

Re: Gold Farming (Mote of Fire farming at Blade's Edge Mountain)

.shocker: Yes, that is true. Skad is more empty (at the right times) while near the PvP zone, ppl nearly all the time. :P

macho271: I am not the mage but after all the time, all mages use frostspells so I guess they are immune to fire.

Dajoker: Jup, ofc depending on how quick you farm and your drop luck.

And ty for all for +rep
