    Healbot addon - Effective healing

This is my first effort to contribute as i have gathered some experience in Healing. I respecced resto a few weeks ago. The addon Healbot has been very useful ever since.

For those that haven't got it, you may download it from wow.curse.com. My post is mostly for a method i use to heal with the best possible reaction.

Most of the times, a healer is assigned to a specific tank/player and has the option to help healing other players, only if things get nasty. If there is a 5-man group though, or the healer is supposed to take care of many players in general, here's what i do:

I use both keyboard and mouse for casting. While i have my main target targeted and use my key bindings for those heals, i use my mouse to click the other player icons that Healbot window is showing. With this method, I only worry for the global cooldown, or any silence/interrupt that occures.

If my main target is a hostile mob, then I'm able to heal with the mouse and use the keyboard to shock/interrupt (shammy here) the mob as well, without the delay to switch targets, however little delay that might be.

Regardless, of this being known to some of you, i really hope that this will help those that didn't know it and make them better healers.

its actually an awesome addon, it speeds healing up immensely

to the second poster, i'm sure you use addons for some things in game, this is just another one. USe it or dont use it, your choice. So rather than flame try to be constructive.

As far as I'm concerned HealBot is a great mod, it's pointless people saying it's shit, the fact that the OP raised awareness of what I feel is a great mod, and I'm sure it'll help some people out, if not just don't use it.

+rep for bringing this to peoples attention tho it's in the wrong place a bit

Thank you all for your comments. The reason I've posted in the "Guides" section, was because of the way someone could use the add-on and not for the add-on itself. It was really helpfull during last night's Gruul raid.

    Again, thanks for your comments.

Sadly the only thing this mod misses is to show the timers on HoT's which would make it perfect as a Resto Druid, but to get around this I use Chronometer (download here) which shows the times of the HoT's. Sadly not as good as if HealBot intergrated the timers, but we can dream! I find this setup amazing though for being able to keep Lifebloom rolling on the stack of 3 over multiple targets.
