Battle for Azeroth Addons

Hello.

I understand that addons are not allowed in Battle for Azeroth Alpha but i remember during the Legion alpha someone created an exe file that bypassed this block and allowed the use of addons.

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was anything similar for BFA?

Addons then were enabled through a memory edit, i believe. If someone wants to spend the time to find the offset here, I'm sure it can be done. Just need someone with alpha login, and there ya go.

No. Blz removed all code to scan addons from disk in current patch. It's a result of my edit to enable addons in earlier patches.

Addons of World of Warcraft Alpha/Beta Tests

As Blizzard has tried to intervene addon hacks during Battle for Azeroth Alpha three times(since the first Alpha build to build 26175), I decide to shut down ALL addon supports of Alpha/Beta tests FOREVER, as Blizzard wishes.

Too bad, why on Earth do they intervene addons usage SO HARD in that early stage of an Alpha at all...

From what I know, you can still hook the Blizzard Load Addon Function.

No. Blz removed all code to scan addons from disk in current patch. It's a result of my edit to enable addons in earlier patches.

I'm sure it's a result of some other stuff. And there are several ways to still enable loading of addons

interesting to know why they decided to remove these code.. Yes there're still ways to do it but just not as easy. (especially I don't want to do a code change)
