Youre dagger specc and you dont have opportunity or Lethality?! Did you just buy you character off ebay?

No I didn't. And, if I went for both of those, I would have to be a mixed build, therefore I would miss out on surprise attacks. This would lower my DPS more than Opportunity or Lethality would make up for.

So wait, what your saying is to get a 10% damage bonus and have backstabs not miss which they rarely do anyway your willing to give up a 20% damage bonus with opportunity and a 30% damage bonus to crits with lethality.
maybe you should do some calculations in damage output.6):

Lets say your backstabs hits for 500 and crits for 1000 normal. With surprice attacks you would get 500*1.1(10%)=550 hits and 550*2=1100 crits. With opportunity you would get 500*1.2(20%)=600 hits and lethality 600*2=1200*1.3(30%)=1560 crits.

The calcs burn BURN and yea ^ is right lethality ftw

This is perhaps the strongest dagger build for raiding, not sure anything else beats it dps-wise, mutilate builds are almost as strong as it.
