It's been overwritten if a file with same name has been made at the same location.
If it was a month ago, its probably already been overwritten if you've done much since then. (Since you say the file restorers can't find it)
When you delete something its true that it is still there(Your computer only deletes the entries that say where it is). But then that space is eventually overwritten with new data, which effectively makes it unrecoverable after a period of time.
It's been overwritten if a file with same name has been made at the same location.
That is incorrect.
The file is moved, in parts to a folder on your hard drive that is usually hidden. These parts do not contain the same name, and will not be overwritten from a new file of the same name.
It's still a known for the hidden area where it came from. So if you make a new one, the harddrive has no use for keeping the old one. That would just take up all the space.
Format a windows xp machine, files will still be there. Install it again, the files will be replaced with new ones to keep incase of something goes wrong.
If there was no tracking of where it came from, programs would not have a clue how to get hold of the correct file. If two files had the same name but not the same location.
Did alot of this a few months back. I'm just saying this out of what i've learned from experience.
how ? ;d btw programs dont find it .. They find other deleted files but not that .. ;/ How can I do a system restore ?

Restart your PC in safe mode (Hold F8 at startup) and once you login it will give you a warning, asking you if you wish to continue in safe mode. Select "No" and you will be prompted to system restore.
I don't think this will solve your problem however.
DataRecovery always worked for me, except for executables
Hello, I need recover lost emails in Outlook 2010, could you recommend me a software for this problem?
I used some tools that you say here, but none of them work.
Nicholas87 sounds like you need to hire hillary clinton. sorry saw an opening for a joke. Emails are bit more tricky Seeing as they are keep on a server so if you deleted them 99% chance you want be able to get them back.
I tried with system restore, but this doesn't work. I need recover some office files, Is there a good software for this problem?
Could just ask blizzard if you got like sq and email and name it was attached with but that would only work if these are your accountsif you scammed them from someone then well best of luck finding those deleted files
