Well when you want to recall proof an account you often transfer the characters to another account. But I wouldn't really want to use my own credit card since:
a. other accounts are linked to it.
b. If the person who at some point lost the account, decides to report it to the police (can you even do that with a WoW account?), could blizzard possibly give him the information on the card? Eg. full name, adress, ip etc.

Maybe you could get a visa gift card, but they don't seem to be available in my country / non-US.

Use another credit card even if it's yours as long as you don't use it on other accounts, no Scamming a wow account is not illegal at all the police will laugh while eating there delicious donuts. If you do not have another credit card I suggest asking someone to borrow, because They WILL link it to your other accounts. Hope that helps
