Did you try changing the pass word on your battle.net account then try logging in with the old password then the new password

Yup i've tried that, a friend of mine can log into the account fine but he has had this problem before and had to re-install wow.
Ease i've tried everything you have suggested, I can't login with old wow info - it just says "This account is now attatched to a battle.net account"

Try connecting to a private server once you get in switch back to your normal realm list and that might fix it. i remember that working for one of my friends before but this wasn't with a battle.net account but it might still work
Well im all out of ideas. You could try to defrag tour Hard Drive but that might take a while
To do this please do the following:
Click Start
Select Run
Type in MSCONFIG
This will open the System Configuration Utility
Select the StartUp tab
and make sure ALL entries are UNchecked
Then click on the Services tab and select "Hide all Microsoft Services," then click on Disable All.
Once that is done, clicking either OK or Apply should prompt you to restart your computer, which you should do before attempting to play the game again. Do not start any other programs and then try the game again.
it worked for meDD
thats because your program may have some interferance from another program, that is what it was for me
Why has no one suggested this yet...
If the problem is only with the account you merged with Battle.net, and not with any other accounts, then call Blizzard and say 'Someone merged my account, can you unmerge it?' and hopefully it was all a big merging issue.
Merge merge merge.
Merge.
Yeah, I r sekcz.
just try my idea it should work!
Tor have you tried restoring it back to a day before you had this issue?
