First try to contrib, so please be kind.
Well, we all now Blizzard holds our privacy cheap, they just love to look into their chatlogs to screw us if someone's whining about being scammed.
So I just thougt of a way to keep most distance to any ingame conversation affecting the deal.
The answer was rather simple...
Step 1: Make a new toon, naming him preferably sth like "Gtctrader" or sth similar.
Step 2: Buy a guild-charter on the toon, name doesn't matter in the first moment, name it
sth that looks ordinary, so people you invite don't get screwed by the name.
Step 3: Before handing in the charter, change the guilds name to sth like "WTS GameTimeCard vs Gold" (fits in perfectly) or
"GameTimeCard Reseller", or sth similar, you get the point. Remember to kick everyone besides you out.
Step 4: Change the Welcome Message to your AIM or MSN Addy, like
"Add me MSN: [email protected] or AIM: wtfscamz0r, only AIM/MSN, else leave guild please.".
Step 5: Set your DND message to "/dnd Accept guild invite or log on toon if you are in guild and whisper again!".
Self explanatory?
Step 6: Get to a crowded place, like Orgrimmar/Ironforge between Bank/Mail and auction house or Dalaran northbank.
Step 7: Wait for victims, when they whisp sth like "how much" invite them to guild, else ignore them.
Now wait for them to add you to MSN, kick them right afterwards out of guild.
Step 8: Talk about the price, how many cards etc. on MSN/AIM/whatever. Meanwhile log in with another character.
Now ask him, if he wants a picture of the unscratched Gametime Card, if he says yes, send him either pic out of this thread:
[Picture]60 Day Time Card.(Make sure you chose the right one, either EU or US! Credits for this part go to Pic-Uploader)
If he doesn't want, continue with Step 9.
Step 9(the final step): Tell him to whisper the character on which you logged in (maybe make a new toon therefor) with the following text:
"Hey dude, here you have some money, you seem poor, and I don't need it as I'm rich enough.".
Now let him hand you the gold and give him any random number, or just block him.
If done correctly, you shouldn't have written ANYTHING ingame, meaning Blizzard can't do anything to you,
since they have no proof. AFAIK Chatlogs from MSN/AIM/etc. can't be involved as they may get faked.
The whisper right before the handover is important. If he just gives you the money,
he may whine at blizzard that he dealed the false person or whatever, getting his gold back.
But if Blizzard sees that he just wrote you that, he can't do anything IMHO.
Hope you like it and it makes scaming easier for some of you.
Any feedback would be appreciated!
PS: I hope the text formating doesn't hurt eyes.

Thats a point you can say for every scam, my answer: VPN? Proxy?Originally Posted by Faithless31307 in old thread
Just change it before you logg on another account who gets the gold.
If you only have one account you have to live with that danger...
