THE FOLLOWING GUIDE WAS WRITTEN BY ODDZOR/ODDBALL FOR THE MMOWNED/ToW COMMUNITY. IF YOU WISH TO USE BITS OF / THE ENTIRETY OF THIS GUIDE YOU MUST GET MY PERMISSION FIRST
So here we go part 2 of my phishing series. I highly suggest you read part 1 or at least section C of part 1 as that's the program we'll be using in this part.
http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-sc...-part-1-a.html
Anyways what is part 2 about? Well first off I'm going to admit it, the title lied, this thread is my method of finding all info when you only have user, pass AND know the email attached to the account, no you don't need to have access to the email at all just know what the email address is.
So how this works, you've made your phishing site and some idiot has put in his username and password and email but has given you the wrong SQ&A or maybe the wrong last name so you can't transfer it. But don't worry there's still hope!
Step 1:
log onto the account, and just sit there doing nothing for 2 mins, this is just to make sure you don't get disconnected, if you do get disconnected try another time when he's not on, cos if you get disconnected halfway through doing this it's gameover red rover.
Step 2:
Make a new character on the same realm and faction as the highest character on another account (preferably scammed), and give it a name that looks something like a blizzard employee, like gmandrew or something. Run him to the closest mailbox then log out. The reason you need to make it on another account is because you'll be deleting this character while a message sent from him is being processed, so when you delete a character that has mail being sent out, the username the letter is from because "UNKNOWN".
(Thanks to Durkadurlol and YoHf for this info and confirmation)
Step 3:
Log onto the level 70 and delete one peice of armor or a weapon, maybe you may delete multiple.
Step 4:
Log back onto the newbie with the blizzard like name and send the level 70 a letter saying:
Note, that letter can still be vastly improved, feel free to input suggestions.Greetings,
An investigation into your World of Warcraft account has found strong evidence that items
on your account may have been acquired by innapropriate means and have therefore been removed
from the account.
The investigation will be continued by Blizzard administration to determine the action to be taken against your account.
If your account is found violating the EULA and Terms of Use, your account can, and will be suspended/closed/or terminated.
In order to keep this from occurring, you should immediately verify that you are the original owner of the account.
To do this you must reply to the email dispatched to your account (*INSERT THE EMAIL ATTACHED TO THE ACCOUNT HERE*)
and follow the instructions provided in the email.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter, and your continued interest in World of Warcraft.
Sincerely,
WoW Character Helper,
*INSERT NOOBY CHARACTERS NAME HERE*
Step 5:
Now not quite sure about this, but delete the noobie character, I havn't tried this so not sure if this deletes the letter you sent to the 70, if it does make the noobie on another scammed account you should hopefully have from your phishing site.
Step 6:
If you havn't already done so make a hotmail account or gmail account with a blizzard like name (note the user most likely won't see this email address because of the program we are going to use but it would still be wise to make it a blizzlike name just in case they glance at it, something like [email protected] would be good. (wow character helper is the blizz team that helps with items and stuff)
Now we get to the part that involves Section C of ultimate phishing thread part 1
Follow section C as per usual but at step 2, see the field that says "Reply-to email" well this is the epic bit, in their put your new email address that you just made, this means that when they click reply it will automatically put the email address to send to as your hotmail one. So say they receive and email from [email protected], then they click reply it will put it as your email addy and hopefully they won't notice
Step 7:
Just follow the rest of Section C as per usual except, manually choose the email your going to send to (the email address attached to the scammed account you have) and make the email your sending from something like [email protected]
Step 8:
Get to the bit where you insert the email, make sure all the html stuff is ticked etc. then use this email instead of the one from Part 1.
Well now that's it I guess, if it works then you should be one happy fellow, and please do take into consideration these guides are into their early stages and their are still many things that could be improved, if you wish to give me some advice as to what should change please leave a post here or throw us a PM.Code:Greetings, <br><br> An investigation into your World of Warcraft account has found strong evidence that items on your account may have been acquired by innapropriate means and have therefore been removed from the account. <br><br> The investigation will be continued by Blizzard administration to determine the action to be taken against your account.
