Is there any way to keep a questitem abandoning the quest?

Used to be that when you abandoned the quest, the item wouldn't auto delete. Now, the item is deleted when you abandon the quest, so the only way to keep an item is to not complete it or abandon it.

Yeah, this was fairly widely used before the fix, and if I remember correctly actually recommended in Joana's leveling guide.

Alas no way I know of to avoid this now =/
