Say I have some crappy blue I wanna dump and I post it on the AH for say 100g. I then log on with another character and say in trade WTB crappy blue for 250g. Someone buys it and I just dont talk to them.

No you will not get banned for this. You are simply using a technique to make money with. They might as well ban the person that is buying the item and trying to sell it higher to you :-0
