What is your opinion on store mounts in WoW?

Blizzard just released another store mount, the Sylverian Dreamer, and it has sparked the debates of many which tends to happen each time they add one now. Big streamers like Asmongold says it tarnishes all the praise they were getting for such a good patch in 8.2 while others say store mounts are fine because you can buy them with gold so its not a big deal. What do you guys think?


Is it greedy to have things like store mounts after asking for subscriptions and expansion money?

Should the mounts not be a unique model?

Is the hate an overreaction?

I hate everything in the store. $16.50 a month should let me earn anything the game has to offer in game, and purchases should be strictly for non in-game services.

I refuse to buy any of the mounts, pets or toys even as a hardcore collector. I've only taken them as gifts.

Alliance had so many lazy reskins and colours in BFA for rep mounts that sub pays for. When the WoW team is supposedly bigger than ever, I think they can and should put a bit more effort into in game mounts that don't cost money on top of a subscription and expansion cost.

Except the piggy one, I didn't buy it but I like the design.
Everything else I hate.

I don't have it yet but.. I'd convert gold to currency to buy.. just have yet to..

As for what it is.. I call it a cash grab.. continuing to try to make the game profitable enough for themselves to warrant continuing with it..

With the rise of the tokens they're making an additional $5 on every probably every other sub too so they figure.. what else can we do to fatten this cash cow up..

I'm one that thought Dreadwake was going to be unique.. that one time only purchase because I think they sorta made it seem like that when it was launched..

I don't have it either.. but that's one disappointment for me.. carrot on a sticking people for a mount they may think may be somewhat rare & standout-ish at a point & nope.. available to all now..

It's actually the reason I refuse to get the Underlight Angler on my other characters since the day they make it account wide I'll hate myself for grinding it out more than once.
