I honestly can't see there being a 'World of Warcraft 2' - it'll be a new IP if Blizzard/Activison did decide to take the plunge on a new MMO but I feel MMO's are dying out, especially when WoW has the amount of content that it does due to its age, it would be difficult to create a new MMO that brings something new to the table. Most players have invested basically 14 years into World of Warcraft, to start over in the same game with updated graphics, who knows.

some kind of war conquer system where fighting means something.
resources and professions for building actual structures instead of prefabricated models.
destructible world space seige weapons
ship battles and military (character has to go through years of training) cool perks maybe, house, troops?
rogue factions/splinter groups that don't align with anyone but can cause war
civilian population?
factions wars?
shops and property?

always thought an RTS with first person view would be a cool idea, where people could play as whatever the RTS player spits out.
