can gms tell when you purchased an arena item?

are gms able to know on what date you purchased an arena item? im interested in trying to get a resto piece i purchased a few weeks back for an elemental piece, and im wondering if i tell him i purchased the wrong item, would he know that i did it 2 weeks back or not.

Yes, they have logs of everything.
A GM will only restore your arena points if you purchased the item within the last 7 days a.k.a 1 week.
