I used to sell gold in cataclysm. Can you still make money selling off gold in WoW right now?

Yes its always possible to make money in wow, however due to Blizzards anti-hacking / cheating methods its almost impossible to make decent amount w/o suffering large bans. You really have to go out of your way to pull off the appearance as a normal player and good gold smuggling methods.

Nowadays idk how much gold goes for, but i've heard people made a lot more through boosting services.

What class should I start then to do that? I have a level 7 hunter right now.

you have about a month before prepatch and from there the stat squish isnt really gonna matter as much as it did before. honestly this late in the xpac your best bet is to get ready for next xpac level a few toons to 110 and get minin herb skinning and lw going so you can sell the new materials for their overpriced value and use the leatherworking to make money. 4 classes need leather so its a great way to make ez gold.

IMHO levelling boosts are even better than all of these things (which are lucrative), mainly because very few people know how to do it optimally, and can be done solo.

I would disagree, selling non-public exploits and dupes is VERY lucrative. Perhaps not as reliable as boosting but the payout is much higher. Had some guy offer me 10k USD for Crystal two days ago (regardless of whether or not he would actually cough up is a different matter).

I also highly doubt this. You can buy a 110 boost for what like 60 usd and that's all legit (no chance of ban).

Unless you can lvl from 1-110 in less than like 4 hours. Other methods will always be superior.

M+ and arena can also be sold solo.
