What's wrong with Blizzards' API?

The WoW API seems to have been down for almost a month now and I wonder if someone knows more about it?
Is it because of preperations for BfA or what's going on?

There is currently a problem with the following services - Blizzard API (US), Blizzard API (EU).
Blizzard appears to be having some problems with their API.

Manny addons and app didn't work. Last update January 17th.
Blizzard trying to fix it. But...
