How to download Blizzcon Videos?

Is anyone of you in the knowledge of how to download the archived videos from the blizzcon archive if you ( iahve one) have a virtual ticket?

Would love to download them all and could make an Mega upload to share after that.

Depends on the technology used, but you can press F12, go to the networking tab, sort it by type and start playing the video then (Make sure it hadn't been loaded in yet, or just refresh the page at that point if it auto plays) and you should be able to see the video.

the blizzcon vods use adobe hds

if you want to download them you can use this script: Scripts/AdobeHDS.php at master * K-S-V/Scripts * GitHub

its written in php so you will need php/xampp installed or something in order to run it.

in chrome you can check the network tab and filter by the .F4F extention, or there is also a chrome extention somewhere that can find it for you "HDS Link Detector".

pass the manifest .f4f file for the vod to the script and it will download and join all the video segments

I was able to use this addon to download a number of .m3u8 Playlist files from the Blizzcon page. They had names like

Those seemed to represent the different bitrate options of the stream (in this case, the Weird Al concert). I fed the highest bitrate option into VLC and am currently using it to download the audio and video streams into an MP4 container on disk. My home bandwidth is low (3Mbps) and I'm pulling in the highest bitrate option they have (around 8Mbps I think), so this will take me a while, but I've been able to successfully see partial files that I tested with and I can see that VLC is consuming all of my bandwidth while crunching away slowly in the background. Thanks for this help!

I'll be happy to create a Bittorrent Mirror link to host whatever files I download when I'm done, and I can post it in this thread. If you have specific streams you'd like me to download, post requests. This will be a slow process thanks to my home internet connection, though. Sorry.

Edit: I'm having trouble getting the download/stream to stay active. It's as if VLC just drops it at some point, maybe because my bandwidth is too low? I can't tell. Anyway, I'm starting over, but this time I'm re-encoding the video (H.264, Quality: 19) because the partial downloads were giving me 80fps video and I didn't want to deal with that in the event that I needed to make several attempts at downloading with different start points and re-stitch them together.
