Person with capital letters in their character name?

I'm curious if anyone would have any idea of how this player got this name?

It must be some sort of exploit as when I attempt to create the same name it changes the letters to lowercase. https://i.imgur.com/d8tjupR.png

I censored the name as I'm unaware how this forum feels about linking other players, but you can but the pieces together if you want to check them out.

Capital XYZ is when a GM renames a character for whatever reason their character had to be renamed for. If you saw them in-game, the GM just messed up and didn't flag them for a rename upon log in. If they haven't logged on, then they'll likely be flagged for a rename when they log in.

Also usually names flagged for change in my experience have random letters and numbers after them, I've never seen XYZ.

Random letters and numbers are from transferring to a new realm and your name not being available. XYZ is manual rename from a GM. ^^

people who actually got banned on the mass ban wave during Blackrock foundry ( i think it was arround april of 2015) usually asked for a rename on the old character so they can use their names again for example a character's name is "Birdy" the person with that name gets banned for X months and during that he asks for a rename on the old character so GM usually put XYZ at the end on banned characters so he made a new character and after X months the account got unbanned and they didnt ask for a rename so he kept the name "BirdyXYZ" instead of renaming
