Alternative to unmerged accounts?

I was really addicted to unmerged accounts back when they were readily available for purchase. Just wondering if we will ever see something like them again? I really miss the thrill of that gamble. Opening the characters on thoses accounts and getting a ton of surprise feats and goodies was more fun than actually playing the game at times. But...if unmerged accounts are dead forever...what is an alternative I could try out if any?

I mean...I'm not really "in the know" when it comes to information like this but will they ever be able to reclaim more unmerged accounts or is it just a dead market forever?

Out of curiosity, why are they gone? I used to have several of them, just never saw the point of selling them, cause it was hard to prove what was on the account, once the characters dropped from the armory.

What is/was an unmerged account really? All I know is I bought one from the trade-section here 2-3 years ago.

I belive that Blizzard wiped all of the passwords = impossible to reacitvate them unless you guess it right... which is nearly impossible.

Ah well mine, I had all the passwords, secret answers, emails, names, etc. So guessing wouldn't be a problem, but like i said, never saw a reason to sell them. My main problem was that I didn't keep the email active, so they actually may have got recycled.

Indeed i miss buying them too...and it didn't even come as a note from blizzard or anything, it was just poof, all gone and the market is dead.

Blizzard sucks for doing this. But I still have some I bought, but sadly most were banned but it's just sad how blizz killed thousunds and MORE of accounts in the "Account Graveyard" that'll probably never be played again anyway, it's such a shame to see all those unavailable items/nice chars just get lost again, because this was actually a way of saving history!

Is there any new information about unmerged accounts? Will we ever see them for sale again? Anything new in the works to get that ball rolling again?
