[Question] Model Editting (answer please)

Hello guys.

I've been interested in model editting for a while now. Tried some things out, but i always deleted the after i tried them.

I still don't know if this can get your account banned. So i made a GM ticket and asked them, they said model editting is against the rules, and can get your account banned.

But i don't see how they can track it, unless they send you spyware...

So please tell me, is it even POSSIBLE for blizzard to track the files in the data map?

Would like to use model editting, wouldn't like to get banned because of it

Well the gm told me something like

"Editting the original WoW files is not allowed, doing this can get your account banned"

so i asked "what if i just want the change my fire spells to a green colour, client side?"

"This not allowed"


Well my question is not really if it is allowed or not, just want to know if they can track it.
