Why does it seem like all gold sellers have the same exact stock of gold?

I've been to 8 different websites looking to buy gold on my server. They all have less than 10,000 in stock. What gives?

Why does it seem like all gold sellers have the same exact stock of gold?

Low population server? Lack of demand = lack of supply.

Because of the way that Blizzard bans accounts, it's not actually safe to keep money on an account. So in reality if a site says they have 10k gold in stock, they really have none. What they do instead is goto a resell site, and see how much gold is currently offered for sale, and then quote how much is there "in stock". These sites can of course put up a buy order for said gold, and depending on the price they list, get more gold quickly, or it could sit there for a while if the offered price is too low. This is why sometimes they will tell you it's an average of 4 hours to deliver, but in reality ends up being much longer.
