question: Is it possible to make the server "think" you have an item?

The reason I'm asking this is I think it may be possible to send a packet that says you have a certain token to, inturn, receive a piece of your set, etc.

In D2 this was sort of possible,

All I needed was a Unique ring, then I'd tell the server I'm selling a Stone of Jordan(Best ring in game) to Gheed, when really I was selling a Nagelring(Crappy common unique ring), all that needed to be the same was the Unique ring. You would have to first of all HAVE an SoJ to find out the packet for it for that game.

Any-one be arsed think about this, it's 4.47 in the morning here, my brain hurts.
