I saw in our general-chat an advertisement of hostgolds.com

The side has really good prices (on our server 200.000 Gold for 124 Euro). So the question is, is the side legit?

I was scammed by this HOSTGOLDS.COM website today. Serves me right for being foolish and stupid.

Irrespective what they say on live support, they will NOT deliver the gold. They will sweet talk you and say how busy they are, etc etc, and will even promise you to deliver gold "Now" or "immediately". Ultimately, you will be kept waiting ingame for hours... the live support will just ignore you in the live chat.

After you file a dispute claim under Paypal, they will contact you BUT will refuse to deliver unless you close the dispute in Paypal.

If you do not close dispute on Paypal, they will keep trying to contact you for delivery, but will say they are unable to execute due to paypal dispute being open. They will invite you to close the paypal dispute so that they can xfer the gold ingame.

Once you close the dispute, they will ignore you from then on.

I was very stupid, yes, and I regret what I did. However, I am posting here in case there are others who are as daft as I am.

Their gold rates are very good. But if it is too good to be true. It probably is.

UPDATE:

Pro Tip: always buy smallest amount first to test their latency and delivery reactions. They can of course dip for small buys and then take/run for larger ones..but first pass i think these folks proved my procedure right.

I've got a paypal dispute open so with enough folks lobbying paypal to shut them down, well they'll eventually move onto the next fake domain at the very least.
