Can I get my account from 2009 unbanned somehow?

Basically I have an account from ages ago back in 2009, probably started in 07 or 06, and after it was banned I disputed but they wouldn't give it back. I've now decided I want it back so I can get all the cool old stuff off it not to mention my old characters. I was planning to just transfer a character or two to the new account I started after the ban.
Ridiculously I was banned because one day i got really bored and decided to speedhack around Ulduar using cheat engine to see how far I could get. (but the account did have a previous history of a few warnings and 3 day bans, and investigations etc)
Anyway point is, I saw somewhere on the website a couple weeks ago some people offering unbanning services. I'm just looking for some advice though on how to get this unbanned, if it is possible at all.

Just send them an email and make up some BS excuse. I got mine unbanned from around there.

I've had more accounts banned than i care to count; imo call them and say 'but why is my account banned I haven't even played since 2007...'

Usually they will look it up and from my experience they usually dont keep records on accounts after that long, but at very least, you can reason with them on the phone
