Does anyone know of a way to do this? I was not aware of the fact that the two accounts need to be under the same name. Is there a way around this? I definitely don't want to be paying for two accounts. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

They need to share the same last name, there are people on the forums here who offer a service to change the name on an account. Prices for those are around $120 i believe but dont quote me on that

It is very difficult to complete manually, you will need the aid of a professional who understands Blizzard's CS. Xgamer, BSM and several others on the forums may be able to complete your task. However, do remember that the owner of the character can revert the changes of the character transfer if it was done recently. Moreover, name changes are not always permanent and I believe the account owner can revert name changes if he reports he was hacked.
