(Theory) Honor refund -> Full gear at MOP!

This might be considered as common sense, but I think that this could help some of you out. I used the search function but I didn't find anything similar to this.
So back at season 10 I made some research and found this: Point Conversion Sellback Policy - Forums - World of Warcraft
It didn't say anything about not being able to refund honor as the new season went live.
So, a few weeks before season 11 was going to be released I started to farm some honor on my alt. Instead of keeping the honor gear I decided to keep refunding and buying the items back as I kept farming more honor. A few days before the release of season 11 I was fully geared plus all the items that I bought was still refundable.
When season 11 went live I simply logged my alt and I was indeed able to refund + buy the season 11 honor gear.

I'm not 100% certain that this will work when MOP goes live, but it might. So the theory is:
1. Buy full honor gear and keep it refundable before MOP.
2. When MOP hits just start leveling and every 1h 50 minutes just use your hearthstone / get summoned back to org and refresh the refund duration.
3. Hit lvl 90 and buy full honor gear.

Currently I don't think there is any cap on honor, so I'd suggest just farming like a madman until they implement a cap again.

There is a honor cap. I had like 30k conquest points on my main and honor cap = 34k honor, after doing bgs etc I couldn't obtain more honor. Before mop is released I'm going to to do the trick mentioned above so I'll be full geared as I hit lvl 90

This has not worked for any seasons, the refund timer is removed from existing gear after the patches where they change the honor gear and has had blue posts about it before.

I tried it THIS season and it worked, read before you post. It doesn't work for valor points, conquest points etc, but it did work for honor.

I can read fine, I just doubt you did it. People tried this in season 9 and 10 from ownedcore, it did not work. The buyback timer for old gear is removed during maintenance.

The reason is after patch the old honor gear is no longer honor gear, you can only sell it for gold.

Yeah I understand that you may think so, but I can assure you that this really worked (works?). It might have something to do with the fact that I had all the items equipped as the new season launched. I putted it as "theory" since I'm not sure that it would work when mop starts.
