    "Pointer" question for CE

How do people use pointers to make hacks (such as speed hack) for wow even though the changable number changes if you changes map ID/logout/exit game
If I find the pointer its like this:
say I find the changable speed address for wow, say its (594864)
The pointer would always turn out as (P>594864<<-- same as dynamic # for speed....)
Then when I logout the pointer just go to (P>??????)

You won't find the dynamic pointer for speed unless you REALLY know what you're doing, all the data such as Coords, Speed, Map, etc is stored in an ActivePlayer struct that needs some serious reverse engineering skills to find. Simply using the pointer scanner will not work.

This is what I suggest. Do some research on DMA, once you know what you're doing, set a breakpoint on read/write access to the address, trace the stack back to find the base pointer that is being used, because anti-cheat measures are in place the addresses are referenced indirectly, rather than directly through a pointer.

    Have fun.
