Banned for not using real name when creating wow account?

Hey to make a long story short I have to take a picture of my ID showing my real name to get my wow account back, but the problem is that when I created my wow account I typed in a made up/anonymous/fake name for my account. If I admit I have been using a fake name for my wow account, will I get banned or maybe get in jail?

...come on...u dont have to be scary for the wrong id name...blizz wont maybe give u ur account back - but i dont think you if u phone with them and give all the infos for the acc with mail password an streetadresse and so on..they will give u back ur acc

ive made many fake accounts.

i had to ring them up and tell them my real name and all that, as well as prove i bought it.

my address was like 123 fake st

Sorry to hear that :S. I have the cd-key but what's "CC details"? Credit card? But I haven't used any credit card to it, just bought gamecards

Just give them as much info on the account as you can. It's generally pretty obvious when someone genuinely owns the account and when they're pretending to be the owner.

gamecard keys will do, cd keys will do.

yeah i just got banned just checked email was for only "bg" botting ( 3 hour )..

Yeah that's what I thought too . Giving them as much info I can trough a ticket. Maybe I should call them if they won't do it.

This happened to me: Installed an authenticator to my phone, accidentally wiped its memory. Had to contact Blizzard, had my informations all wrong but contacted from the same IP I used to play on, told them what I had been doing with my characters, and sent them my ID. Guess what, it worked. They don't want to lose subscribers.

Yeah I also said I was about to buy playtime but saw that my account was locket. They say they just want to see if Im the real owner.
I've spammed info to the ticket, waiting for response.

Lol, I have a friend who had the same problem, instead of his real name he put something like Skilled <name>, he had to call them and give cd-keys and stuff, I laughed so much. He got what was coming for him.
