Just curious with the Alpha fad. I mean, yes, there has been FaF alphas in the past, but it's been show a lot that this is a FaF BETA. Wit the beta patches and the FaF client being installed as Beta...
So, shouldnt we call it beta?

no, since it is alpha?
Alpha comes before Beta lmao dude.
A, B, C, D?
In the 11927 patch notes it says:
Don't know if it was a typo, edited, or what. But it seems that sometimes it's being called FaF beta and others FaF alpha.Welcome to the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm friends and family beta test. The list below contains information on the current available content for testing. This information is subject to change, and we'll be sure to expand upon some of the new features over time.
Alpha=lots unfinished stuff
Beta=bugs fixing...
Did you not read or see the installer's name, the patch names, etc? Blizzard disagrees with you.
I know what an Alpha and Beta are, but unlike the previous expansions, the FaF is referred to as Beta by Blizzard themselves in both patch and client. It's not just a mishap when they keep saying "Beta Patch" or so when they release updates.
For BC and Wrath, it was a FaF alpha, but Cata seems to be a beta FaF...
Also, Dalaran wasn't finished when Beta hit, it was still getting changes, some drastic.
Ive seen that too, tons of patches and patch notes say Beta, not alpha. But I have no idea what I would call Cataclysm. I just say alpha since everyone else does and people seem to understand that.
That's what the majority have been doing :P Blizzard, other than patch and client, have not said this is an alpha or beta, but a 'testing phase'.
I think they aren't using alpha cause of the fact it's mainly a facelift of the old game. But since it's not even all complete/ready for just bug testing/polishing, it should be an alpha...
