WoW Armory "datamining"

In this guide I want to show you some tricks how to get hidden data from the Armory... The only thing you will need is the Internet Explorer, since Chrome (and IMHO also other browsers) will show you final html code, but IE will show you raw XML data in which are hidden few interesting ones..

1) Exact create date of arena teams

Search your character @ WoW Armory and show source code of the page.. I will shot it for you on the profile page of the best rogue on my realm.

So, show source and look for similiar code:

created="1241740800000" faction="Horde"
factionId="1" gamesPlayed="0" gamesWon="0" lastSeasonRanking="0"
name="Brano a Nora" ranking="1230" rating="1867" realm="Drak'thul"........

red tag and it's value contain date of the team creation...

P.S. it's in the unix timestamp format, which is the exact amount of seconds since 01/01/1970 - there are many convertors on the Internet


2) Exact team ranking
Let's look at the same peace of the source code:

here you can see the exact team ranking even if it is not high enough to get the bronze/silver/gold helm symbol and visible rank - it's good method how to compare with friends and their teams if you are not good enough to get the helm symbol and visible team rank...

3) Exact time of the earned achievement
Let's move to the achievement tab of the profile page... Few weeks ago it was possible to get the exact time of any achievement, sadly before I found some time to post this thread it got changed and now you can see it only at 5 recent achievements..

Search piece of the code similiar to this:

<achievement categoryId="155" dateCompleted="2009-11-23T02:28:00+01:00"
desc="Blast those dirty, sneaking Rogues with your Turkey Shooter."

in red you can see teh exact minute of the achievement completion...

I hate when people are negative. This thread belongs in the "Strategy Guides" section, because IT IS a guide of how to look up this information. It may not be the kind of information you are interested in, but who know.. Maybe someone find it interesting?

I made my forum sig-creator with the data provided with armory xml. besides of that - that have no real use
