Problems with negativ paypal balance

Hello, so I scammed some dude into paying me around 180€ gave him a scammed account and he filed a dispute and won, leaving my paypal balance on negativ, paypal has now told me to payup or they will escalete it to a debt collecting thingy, I used my real name and real country but false town and street address, no creditcard have been added. So my question is, what can paypal do and will I get taken to court or anything like that? I live in sweden and have no idea if they got a office here, but im still afraid of geting financial remarks before im even 18...

It depends on if paypal decide to take the case up. Since they have your real name then if they decide the case is serious enough i think they can ask the poilice find your real address etc and well trouble. Otherwise close the account whilst on a proxy and hope?

Cant close the account with a negativ balance im afraid...and in all cencerity I dont belive the police will do shit, its the debt collecting agencys and financial remarks im woried about, I havent done anything illigal I just happen to owe paypal around 180$ XD

well, if they got you´re real name they can search you up, but i don´t think paypal will set you up, if they did, they would have to do allot of police contacting (don´t know how to say in english xD) almost EVERYDAY i belive ....

Yes thats right if they wanna search me up they will have to talk to the swedish police and have a valid reason for wanting my info, it seems farfetched that they would come after me but u never know I guess, noone on this forum who have been in my shoes regarding this shit?

This is the wrong section first of all. Second, if the debt collection agency does find you, they can and most likely will sue you for the money. Paypal does not prosecute for under 20$ though.

I don't think they spend 1000's of $ on police/agency for just 180$ scam :P.
you should no worry but pay if you can :P

hehe ill just try to ignore it :-) I got no creditcard to pay of the debt and I dont think they will pursue me anyway, thx 4 the answers everyone
