well first of all is it possible to be able to play without downloading the patches? I don't know much.. Amature here ^^ anyway if you can it's kinda tricky but you gotta do this thing (which I'll tell you about if this really works) which i going to menethil harbour, an uncompleted place. well there is a mount seller there selling mounts at the price of.. yep.. 5s and higher. but for sure, they sell for 25g each, meaning millions of gold in mere minutes! but of course, f'ing blizz removed it so if you could erase the ptaches that have to be downlaoded and start at like the time right before it was stopped, then hey presto! you can just take al il trip and becoem amazing goldwise ^^ lol!!! I hope this works its an idea..

If you launch the game without the loader, it will say something like "version mismatch, please use launcher" and won't let you in.

ah well I thought it'd be possible with sum program or summin ^^but woulda been nice idea if it coulda worked

yeah, pretty sure the system recognizes what patch you're using, and if it doesn't match up, it won't let you connect.

also, player data files are stored server-side rather than client-side, so you couldn't possibly play on an emulated server, give yourself a bunch of gold, patch the game and then log in.
