My Friend had gotten hack and need some help

Well about yesterday my friends account got hacked....all his gear/gold was gone...so he reported it to the GM a few hours later his account became permantly banned .....is that because there investigating it or what?

I don't know if blizzard does this, and honestly doubt they do, but in some cases what sites will do is ban an account to prevent more damage done to the account.

It depends what your friend has done as well, if they were looking at the account it might have just been a "Well we might as well just ban it at this point" time if he was doing things he shouldn't have been doing.

Maybe the GM was in a bad mood.

it is possible that whoever 'hacked' the account used a badly hidden speedhack or MC. This happened to me.

Blizzard gave me this letter when I told them it wasn't me on the account at the time-
