Am I able to transfer characters from different accounts onto my account?

So my mate gave me his 70 rogue, and I want to transfer it to my account.

Problem being we don't have the same last names.

I have his username, pass, secret question answer, email and CD keys.

Is there ANY way to get his character onto my account?

if you are able to change his last name, yes. call blizzard tell them you changed your name and tell them you have all what you just said, maybe you can, not sure.

If you are on WoW US, you cannot change the last name of an account.

If you are on WoW EU...you can give it a go, but it'd most likely be difficult.
