Noob lesson: Heroic mode is only avaiable to intances/raids in Outland. It is much harder but the drops are extreamly better. And YES this is available
in SM.

Heroic Mode is only avaible in Outland (And CoT).

When you put on Heroic Mode and enter a non Outland instance (Exept CoT), there will be a message who says "This instance is not avaible for Heroic Mode"

So even if you put Heroic on and go to DM, you wont be able to enter it

I am talking about EU servers, I wouldn't know if this is different at US servers :P

Hm, another way to get behind (It used to work in Blackrock spire, during the faction conflicts as groups entered/left and met eachother :P) would be to get feared, usually you'll get behind the portal and only zone into the place if you get too close to the entrance portal.
