    Chinese port to random people?!

So ehmz, I was running around in Orgrimmar exploring abit, and I fell down underneath Orgrimmar. After about 30 seconds some random guy falls down from above my head.

I though it was some explorer having fun. So ofc I asked "Heya, what are you doin' down here?"

The response I got was godly and made me laugh out of my chair.

Edit: Do they actually port to random people ? =/ He came out from thin air and I have a hard time to believe he would port to a place like that =p

Its more likely that this is a common bug that occurs when you are under OG.
Once you are deep below the OG ground the engine consideres it gone and starts interpreting that players and NPCs should FALL if there is no ground under them.
Normally players will look like theyre falling down and then *zap* port back up every tick, but I guess with a bit of lag (which those spammers MAY have, considering their high output and overall distance ^^) the update sometimes misses and the player (in this case: the farmer) keeps on falling.
This happened to me sometimes with guards, because NPCs are - I think - updated via waypoints.
Just my few cents :P Also sorry if I couldnt make myself clear, I'm just a student from Germany

Re: Chinese port to random people?!

Thats because in fact the farmer's char didnt move at all. It was only the PLAYER's client that thought the farmer was falling, because of the lag and the "missing" ground. The damage itself would be sent from the WoW-Server to the PLAYER's client, but since the server didn't notice any falling, no damage got calculated!

    Phew, WoW is complicated

    P.S.:
I also think, reading what I have written, that the falling interpretation could be not just because of lag, but because of NOT MOVING. The WoW-Client only sends a directional information, which then gets interpreted (I love that word...) into the player position. And if the player is not moving, the WoW-Client only sends "nil" every update-tick...
