[Disconnect Macro] - Seems to be hotfixed...

This thread is to start a discussion on the Disconnect Macro. The (VotU-US) one I've been using currently:

/script PickupItem(22736)
/script PlaceAction(1)

...no longer seems to work on my US realm. Looks like it is back to the old Alt+F4 for us Explorers until someone provides an alternative.

You could probably get a DC macro by ****ing around with the /script command.

I have no knowledge of this though.

...by the way? It's the one I've always used in recent patches - could be that it's not fixed.

Found a new one!

Works on EU realms, tested it several times on it's own, and in some simple glitch-through-walls spots - worked 100% of the time. Hopefully it'll work on US too.

Ok. 22736 and 12947 are legendary and "not available to players" items. But why it works with 54675? :confused:

I have no idea...60746 I found from just trawling through GM-only, Test Items, not obtainable etc etc until I found one that worked but 54675? That's just weird...given that it's a vendor-bought item NOW. Must just be bugged.

What I want to know is how you managed to stumble across it and test it given the above info :P

I did the same earlier... trolling through 'non obtainable' items and spells... and couldn't find any that worked. I just tried all the ones ST and Dellion posted above and none of those work either on my US realm.

They must have fixed the entire 'pickupitem' DC phenomenon on US realms. And they fixed it after Tuesday's maintenance, because I could DC after Tuesday, just not today.

US explorers will have to find a new macro.

Someone dig up HP94 and give him a WoW account and some caffeine...

Strange that they hotfixed this two weeks before the pre-MoP patch, and not waited for the patch to come (because it's fixed in 5.0).
Also strange that it's hotfixed only in US, and not in EU.

I found this macro completely on accident back 4.2 (A) or (B). I was one day messing around with the WoWAPI (World of Warcraft API - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft) and I came across the "PickupItem" command and I started picking up random Legendaries/Unobtainable items/GM Items and what not. Then for some reason I decided to try this item Andonisus, Reaper of Souls - Item - World of Warcraft I picked it up using the script and I wanted to put it on my action actionbar to look at the stats and I was suddenly disconnected. I thought no way this thing just disconnected from the server. I got back on and tried it again same results. So I looked around for a script in the WoWAPI that puts things from your cursor to your actionbar eventually finding it then later posting it on this site. If you did not know already why it worked was because you tried to make the server load information of an item that was no longer "existed" in the game which would disconnect you. So I guess all they did to fix it was that it wouldn't disconnect you(no dip sherlock). I have no idea why they hotfixed it on the US first and not EU(On a weird date to change it too) but I was aware that on the 5.0 PTR the DC macro was fixed and longer working. I am sure their are numerous ways to DC your self via a script maybe ones that are actually BETTER than this DC macro(this DC macro would not work in combat which was a huge flaw) so I wish you guys the best of luck in finding a new and BETTER DC macro.

Fixed in EU too after the reboot of last night

Confirming this is fixed in EU. Other items etc. like mentioned above do not seem to work, Blizzard has fixed the entire method.
