Ravenholdt Manor - Fun for guild parties and RP events

Some may not know of the legendary Ravenholdt Manor, which is owned by the group called Ravenholdt.

Ravenholdt is a guild of thieves and assassins which welcomes only those of extraordinary prowess into its fold. They are diametrically opposed to the Syndicate, and are a rogue-only faction as all quests are rogue-only quests. The exception is the quest Junkboxes Needed, which is available to non-rogues, but they would require the help of a rogue to get the items for the quest. Their headquarters, Ravenholdt Manor, is located in Alterac Mountains, but to get there you have to come from the northeast corner of Hillsbrad Foothills. - WoWwiki

Go to Southshore/Tarren Mill, and then cross the river to the east. Once you're on the east bank, go north until you hit the mountain/hills. Then go east for a bit, and keep looking on your map for a dirt path going into a cave (you should be between the river and Durnholde Keep if you have the right path). Follow the path and through the cave, and you will be at Ravenholdt Manor. The excellent thing about this place is that few know about it, so it's great for guild parties and for RPing.

Indeed it is a well hidden area- nice to keep away from pvp whores on pvp server- most don't even know where it is. No pvp'ers to ruin the guild party ;D

ravenholdt manor is pretty much useless. it provides quests in the early 20's for rogues so they can gain rep to be able to accept the quest they give at level50 which leads you into Sunken temple and gives you the choice of 3 blues (cape,boots and head). there is a vendor there who sells the recipe for thistle tea and general rogue supplies. also, you can trade in heavy junkboxes (i think?) in for special green throwing knives(they pretty much suck since BC).

its only use is maybe a couple of quests for rogues who choose. and i think 1 BC quest leads you there, not sure.

Yeah, Ravenholt is pretty fun to mess around in, personally I wen't on my friends 49 rogue and destroyed his rep there. Just because I could. I doubt he has found out yet. I REGRET NOTHING!

its not really much of a "secret" area if you've played a rogue past level 20 or so.
